What if You Eat More Insects?

What: Is your favorite seasoning or condiment you put on your insects?

Who: Who would you rather be in a world where we eat more insects: an insect farmer or an insect chef?

When: When is your favorite day of the week to eat insects? Taco Tuesday or Pizza Friday?

Where: In a world where everyone eats insects all the time, where are insect farms found?

How: How do you cook your insects: grilled, battered and fried, ground up into flour and baked, soups, sprinkled on salads?

Why: Why might some vegetarians consider including insects in their diets?

Huh?: In a world where everyone is eating insects, how might scientists start to modify insects?

Wow!: What if before you bug out over eating bugs, you wonder about these "what ifs"?

  • What if an estimated 2 billion people already eat insects as a part of their regular diet?

  • What if, thanks to their minimal resources requirements, the more people eating insects in place of pigs, chickens, cows, or fish, the better it is for our planet?

  • What if, you (even vegetarians) are already eating bugs? Like peanut butter? The Food and Drug Administration allows an average of 30 or more insect fragments per one hundred grams of peanut butter!
